About the Producer

Founded in 1997 as a community response to a proposed large-scale mining project, and formally established in 2000, the cooperative was built on a vision of sustainable, organic agriculture as an alternative economic path for the region. Aprocassi invests its certification premiums into reforestation, beekeeping and honey production, and programs supporting young coffee entrepreneurs.
